Robust Incentive Programs

Spokane Valley and the State of Washington offer a wide array of incentive programs that serve an equally diverse set of industries; including but not limited to B&O tax exemptions and reduced rates, sales and use tax exemptions, export assistance, loans and grants. Spokane Valley is dedicated to providing the advantages necessary for business success.

Streamlined permitting in the northeast industrial area

The northeast industrial area in the City of Spokane Valley includes nearly 500 acres of shovel-ready industrial property primed for development. The area is served by water, sewer and other utilities, thanks in part to a multi-year collaboration between the city, Spokane County, utility providers and private landowners to develop the area. The area is served by a robust transportation network with easy access to State Highway 290 and Interstate 90. It is also adjacent to both BNSF and Union Pacific mainlines, and includes a Union Pacific spur. In March 2019, the city completed the environmental analysis for all 500 acres. As a result, commercial or industrial projects that qualify are not subject to additional review under the State Environmental Policy Act. Learn more about this Planned Action Ordinance.
